Choosing a Wise trail belt depends on your hydration needs, carrying capacity, and type of outing (fast running, long trail, or as a complement to a backpack).

At Wise, we offer two technical belts suited for different uses: the Portage Belt and the Belt 500.

Portage Belt (minimalist belt – 30g)

- The Portage Belt is ideal for quick outings or as a complement to a backpack.
- Ultra-light (30g), it allows you to carry a 500ml flask, your phone, and your nutrition, while ensuring exceptional stability without bouncing, even at high intensity.
- Perfect for running or light trail activities.

Belt 500 (carrying belt)

- Inspired by the waistband of Wise shorts, the Belt 500 is designed to maximize your carrying capacity.
- Thanks to its 4 pockets, it can carry up to two 500ml flasks, as well as your nutrition and essentials, without bouncing.
- Its stretch material ensures a comfortable and stable fit on the hips.
- Ideal for long trail runs or when going without a backpack.

To choose the right size Wise trail belt, it is recommended to base your choice on your hip circumference to ensure optimal support without bouncing.

Wise belt size guide (unisex)

XS: 84–89 cm
S: 90–94 cm
M: 95–99 cm
L: 100–104 cm
XL: 105–110 cm

Measure your hip circumference at the widest point of your hips to determine your size.

Between two sizes: what to choose?
- A size up will provide more comfort, but with slightly reduced support
- A size down will offer more precise support, with a snugger feel

How to know if the size is right?

A well-fitting trail belt should:

- Remain stable without riding up or down
- Avoid any bouncing during running
- Not create uncomfortable compression around the hips

Proper care of your Wise trail belt is essential to preserve its elasticity and support, and to prevent unpleasant odors after your runs.

To wash a trail belt properly, it is recommended to follow these best practices:

Machine wash

- Use a delicate or synthetic program at 30°C
- Opt for a low spin cycle to preserve the stretch material
- Use a liquid detergent without aggressive agents
- Avoid fabric softener, which alters technical fibers and support

Hand wash (recommended)

- Use lukewarm water with mild soap
- Gently clean contact areas (inside of the belt)
- Rinse thoroughly without wringing

Drying

- Allow the belt to air dry
- Avoid tumble dryers and any direct heat sources

Flask care

- Rinse flasks after each use
- Let them dry completely
- You can place them in the freezer once clean to limit bacterial growth
